Xue Jiamin, an assistant professor from the School of Physical Science and Technology, has recently published his new book for amateur scientists, titled “Geek Physics: exploring the beauty of physics in experiments”. This book consists of 18 advanced and fun physics projects which can be tried at home with everyday materials. The book is based on another book, We Are All Scientists, published by Prof. Xue a couple years ago, with some new chapters added. The previous book has been well received by the readers, and was nominated as one of the best popular science books by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2013.
