Abstract:
In this talk, Professor Sheng shall introduce a class of nonlinear elliptic equations in the Krylov type, which can be viewed as a generalization of the Hessian equation. As applications, he shall talk about studying a Plateau type problem for locally convex Weingarten hypersurfaces and the Dirichlet problem for a modified Schouten tensor in the smooth closed Riemannian manifold with smooth boundary. This talk bases on the joint works with Dr. Xia Shucan and Ms Liu Xinying.
