The Office of Technology Transfer wins the Fifth Shanghai Intellectual Property Innovation Award

The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) of ShanghaiTech University won the Shanghai Intellectual Property Innovation Award (Utilization Category) at the Awarding Ceremony of the 22nd Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum. The award was jointly presented by Shanghai Vice Mayor Xie Dong and World Intellectual Property Organization Deputy Director General Wang Binying. Deputy Secretary and Vice President of ShanghaiTech Jiang Ge received the award on behalf of the university.

 

The award is evaluated and presented by the Shanghai Municipal Government to recognize enterprises and institutions with outstanding achievements in the creation, protection, and application of intellectual property (IP). The OTT distinguished itself among numerous participating units for its exceptional performance in IP application, becoming one of the three winners in the “Utilization Category.”

 

The OTT has long been committed to promoting the transformation of ShanghaiTech’s scientific research achievements, establishing a comprehensive IP operation system, and achieving remarkable results in fostering deep integration between industry, academia, and research. This award fully reflects the high recognition from the government and all sectors of the society for the university’s IP work.
